These extraordinary beans come from a cultivation area of only approx. 6000 square meters at altitudes of 910m to 1700m in the Blue Mountains of Jamaica . The symbiosis of densely forested mountain slopes , cool temperatures, fog and heavy rainfall creates a unique climate that slows down the growth of coffee cherries. The extended maturation time allows a very special, unique aroma to develop. This aroma, low yields, hand picking and finally the special packaging in wooden barrels make this coffee one of the most expensive types of coffee in the world.
