ARABICA

Over a hundred different Coffea species there are, but only two types are relevant for the coffee market.
One is the Arabica bean. Your attributed the higher-quality quality.
My country of origin is Ethiopia. At altitudes of 800-2200m and at temperatures between 16- 24 ° C it does best. It occurs in tropical and subtropical climates. Unfavorable are a lot of wind and high humidity. The rainfall in should be between 1000-1400mm. The higher a coffee plantation is, the slower grows the fruit, the harder is the seed, the better the quality and the smaradgrüner are the beans.
The Arabica bean is oval, flat and with a length of 8-12mm relatively large.

Plant Coffee

The coffee plant grows best in "tropical belt" of the globe. To be exact, between 23 degrees north and 25 degrees south latitude. Are altitude, soil, temperature, sunlight and rain in unison, a successful cultivation is nothing in the way.
Coffee can be harvested all year round, because it is grown across the globe, namely distributed in more than 90 countries.

Brewing

There are three different types of brewing methods. .... And many derived. Approximately 50 sub-types!
But essentially have as
1. with the flotation (manual)
2. with the filter method (manually and mechanically)
and finally
3. with the preparation (by machine) to do with pressure.
The most common type in this country is probably the filter method. But the preparation with pressure continues to gain popularity. Last but not least because there are countless providers that bring very good espresso machine, hand lever and piston machines, coffee machines and capsule machines on the market.
So everyone can find their favorite type of coffee. Importantly, however, is to use the right grind, the right amount of coffee and the right water temperature.
As an ideal coffee to water ratio apply, depending on your preference for coffee strength, as follows:
6- 7g coffee powder for 125ml water
12-14g coffee powder for 200ml water
60g coffee powder for 1lt. Water.
The ideal temperature is between 92 ° and 96 ° C.
The grinding is dependent on your Brühmethode. Speak to us, we can advise you!

BLUE MOUNTAIN

One of the most sought after coffees in the world.
The coffee trees are between 910 and 1700m grown.   The growing area is just 6,000 hectares.
The special climate, which is manifested by a combination of fog, cool temperatures and heavy rainfall in the Blue Mountains, is the major factor in the slow growth of the coffee cherries.
This explains the recognition of that coffee! The subtle aroma created by the long maturation.
Very small harvests, handpicked and barrels as special packaging, let the market price will rise to 100 dollars per kilogram. Thus, the "Blue Mountain" one of the most expensive coffees in the world.

CHOLESTEROL

4 cups of coffee a day, it takes about to raise the Cholsterinspiegel. The present in the coffee fat accompanying substances, kahweol and cafestol, provide for the increase. Therefore, probably is the increased filter coffee preparation in Germany to explain. The filter paper retains the diterpenes and therefore no effect on cholesterol levels is demonstrated.

CREMA

At the end of Brüprozesses be by the pressure drop, dissolved gases, especially CO2, released or discharged. This mix in the cup with proteins and essential oils and form a creamy layer. It makes the espresso to a double composition of Crema and "Brew" (the brewed liquid).

The Trinitario derived mainly from Central America, northern South America, the Caribbean and Madagascar, has a share of about 12% of the world market.
