Light Muscovado is the classic among natural, unrefined cane sugars, produced in Mauritius according to traditional methods. This light brown, soft, moist sugar has small sugar crystals and a warm honey color due to its aromatic syrup residue. Its flavor is captivating, with a well-rounded range of brittle and toffee notes. Light Muscovado adds an extraordinary flavor dimension to coffee and tea, as well as caramel sauces and desserts.
Due to their natural state, pre-moistened sugar can dry out. Placing a damp cloth over the sugar will remedy this after a few hours and make it easy to portion.
